In fact, she's got an awesome Cuttlebug Challenge Altered Desk Set article with complete tutorial (including embossing) on her site right now that you must check out!!

End of Summer

After drawing Christmas cards for a couple of days I was feeling a little chilly. But here's a cure -- a beautiful "End of Summer" card by Tara Welsh. My studio has no windows, just a skylight (I know, I'm an artist and I really should have a window, huh?) but I swear I can smell flowers when I look at this! See it close up on Tara's blog, Happily Ever Crafting.

Hanging the Stockings

Now on Digital Pencil Too: Little girl hanging the stockings.

Boughs for the Wreath

Now on Digital Pencil Too: Father and son bringing home armfuls of pine boughs to make a holiday wreath.
My original idea was to have this in the upper right of the illustration, snow filling the background with the little boy looking back at the twin tracks of footprints they've left, but the footprints outlined in ink were too harsh, and will look much better as shadowy ovals of color -- so I'm leaving job of painting footprints up to you!
