Stamping out Stamp Thieves.
Much of my time the past week has been devoted to trying to stop a blogger who has been downloading my watermarked images from Google searches, erasing my watermark and my signature and then distributing in her various blogs, livejournal and Picasa accounts. She takes them down in one spot, then I find them in another.
I've had to delete all my old images from this blog (there are a few that left that link directly to my shop) and now I face the daunting task of coloring and replacing all the black and white samples I've done in the past year with smaller, colored versions in an effort to stop people like this from stealing my work.
I'm also getting back to the idea I had last year to make it easier for all the genuine fans to report thefts -- not just of my images but for images by all stamp artists, companies and shopkeepers who want to participate. Please check my new (in progress!!) web page "STAMP OUT" if you'd like to join the effort. And please spread the word. xoMo

ReplyDeleteThank you all so much -- I'm teary!!
ReplyDeleteHello Mo - Supporter here as well. It makes me mad! I'm putting the logo on my blog also.
ReplyDeleteI will also add it to my blog, Mo. So sorry to hear about this . . . why can't people just play nice?! Besides which, your work is pretty distinctive & really well known even by novice stampers (like me). I can't imagine anyone getting away with something like that for long. Will definitely do what I can to spread the word, though.
ReplyDeleteI joined with....
ReplyDeletedo not worry Mo, I'm sure that these problems will soon be over. In Russia, they realize that we were watching :))))
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you Mote! You know the language is hard for me, LOL!!! I need all the help I can get! xoMo

So sorry this has happened. I was equally surprised to see another Digi company (who should know better!!) name one of their releases of a baby image this week "Kai"!! I considered that equally distasteful and they have lost a customer. Like the earlier poster said.. we Mo-ites (hhmm ladies.. what DO we call ourselves..lol) are a mighty loyal bunch!!
ReplyDeleteWe got your back Mo!!
Hugs~
Dana
This is disgusting!!!!
ReplyDeleteWill display the badge and help spread the word.
Hugs Alison

That's terrible Mo, I'm in!
ReplyDeleteHi Mo, this is just so wrong what they have done..as a company also selling images I totally support you 100%, I will add your logo to my Bizzy Becs Store Blog. Bec xx
ReplyDeleteHey, Mo, I was just in a chat with about 30 ladies and someone mentioned that there was a disc on sale on Ebay filled with HanglarStanglar stamps. Since they're rubber, I'm guessing these are illegal digi images. Unfortunately after I mentioned that, the person who brought it up dropped out of the chat and I don't know who's doing the selling. And even tho I'd give my first born for some H&S stamps, this isn't right. I've added your logo to my blog.
ReplyDeleteI totally support you Mo. I don't have a blog, but I will certainly let you know if I see anything.
ReplyDeleteHi Mo...I have added your badge to our Stamptacular Sunday Challenge Blog, along with a link to your site, for all our visitors and participants to see. I love your work and absolutely support you!
ReplyDeleteIt's so sad to know that no matter where we turn or what we do...there are always thieves amongst us!
Hugs,
Priscilla
I support you whole heartedly Mo, unfortunately, i honestly don't think you'll be able to stop such thefts ... no matter what you do, some people see this as a challenge and will find a way around it! Its totally unfair, especially to those of us that yearn to have some of your adorable images but just can't afford all those that we(I) want and rather than obtaining them illegally we(I) choose to wait until we(I) can afford to buy them! Keep your chin honey and know that we all support you! xx
ReplyDeleteI have added the logo to my blog.
ReplyDeleteLove your images so will add logo to sidebar. Hope this gets sorted out quickly for you and anyone else suffering the same.
ReplyDeleteIf everyone boycotts these people there will be no intensive for them.
Best wishes, Sharon
This is such a shame, don't understand why people do these things. Hope you can get this cleared up quickly. I purchase your digi's because your talent is well worth paying for and I love your work, I would never even think of doing something like what this woman is doing. So sorry you are having to go through this! Thinking of you, hang in there!
ReplyDeleteit's truly unfortunate that you've been hit by these unscrupulous people (i won't even call them crafters!), but i fully support your view and will check out your new venture STAMP OUT and look for ways to support the effort!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear that this has become an issue for you again. I have grabbed the logo, but when I try to access the website I get a big old error. I'll put the logo up but will wait for word that the site is actually up and running properly to put a link up on the logo. ~chris
ReplyDeleteThis is so unfair towards the artist , putting so much work into an image and the buyer(us) who have to pay for an image or wait , so i fully support and would put the logo on my blog !!
ReplyDeleteKeep the chin up girl, lots standing with you !!!
The Stamp Out page has been cyberattacked!!
ReplyDeleteI just tried clicking on the site in your post and it is not working? But I will still put the logo on my blog to help spread the word! Totally not right what these people are doing! I love your images!! :)

Thank you Tracy, I was just reading that there is sometimes a glitch when you re-enable your blog (like I had to do this morning) that sometimes the google site pages don't work. I'm trying to get if fixed :)
ReplyDeletexoMo
That's terrible! I see this problem on several digi blogs/companies I bu from, and think it's so rude.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry! This really sux. And now you have to color your images, which is more work for you, just because of one dishonest person. Pthfhfhf. I shall display the badge proudly on my blog.
ReplyDeleteSite still disabled ... hope you can get it up and running again soon! xxx
ReplyDeleteThis is horrible that it continues to go on. We are supporting this at both High Hopes Rubber Stamps and Wags 'n Whiskers Rubber Stamps. Anything we can do to help, please let us know!

Mo.. what a bad start to the year.It is so sad, that you have to spend your valuable time trying to stop these crooks. I have joined the rest of your fans and put the logo on my side bar and we are all behind you and wish you strength in this ongoing issue of protecting your work against these thieves. Warm wishes.
ReplyDeleteI support you all the way Mo! Added the badge on my sidebar and wrote a post on it on my blog too!
ReplyDeleteI hope we can stop those people! I'd rather see you spend your time on fabulous new images.
Hugs,
Renata
That is just Sick! If I find any images I'll report A.S.A.P. I know there's a few people on Ebay selling CD's with collections of all kind of stamps too I'll put the logo on me blog too :o)
ReplyDeleteIt really is beyond belief.....how anyone can do this and still have any sort of conscience. Good luck! Cheers Claire x
ReplyDeleteThis is realllly sick. I am soooo sorry, Mo. This is so unfair. I also support you all the way.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry this has happened to you, and so many other artists. I do not see how someone like that can feel good about perpetrating this fraudulent act. I definitely support you and your talent. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThat's unbelievable! You have my support, Mo! I'll help spread the word to stop stamp thieves from stealing your images.

ReplyDeleteLynne xoxo - Sentiments 4 You xx
MO- I'm sorry to hear all you've been dealing with because of dishonest people. It's horrible that they are ruining it for those of us that appreciate your talent and enjoy using your images (the proper way).
ReplyDeleteI hope you are able to end this process, and get back to the joy of drawing, designing, etc.
A big fan,
Moe B.
I'm so sorry to hear someone would stoop so low and do such horrible things! I just love your images! I will gladly display the stamp on my blog! I hope you find a way to put a stop to your images being lifted. What a shame! Obviously those people have no conscience! I just don't understand why or how...... So sorry.
ReplyDeleteSorry for that!!!I will add the logo to my blog.
ReplyDeleteI'm just getting into your designs which are darling and I support you totally in keeping your creations safe.
ReplyDeleteMo- sorry to hear this is still such a problem....such a shame. I am gladly adding your button to my blog - know that I stand behind you completely!
ReplyDeleteHi MO
ReplyDeleteI have a digi site disdigidownloads and when i started i knew this was going to happen from the outset and took the rough with the smooth. BUt after a while I went back in and resized all my images so they are out of focus, maybe that has done it but it is hard for the customer to see the image properly.
Its a real problem but i dont think it will go away, even stamps can be stamped in quantity and sold on. there must be a right click disabale button somewhere.
I have put you, logo on my site and joined.
Hugs Di
